That “patient-first” perspective is
important to Dr. Hope Maki, who has
been at Marshfield Clinic as a cardiac and
thoracic surgeon since 1990.
Dr. Maki earned her medical degree from
the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
She completed her General Surgery
residency at Marshfield Clinic/Saint Joseph’s
Hospital and her Thoracic Surgery residency
at University of California, San Diego.
She was very pleased to return to
Marshfield as an attending surgeon, to a
well-respected surgery program whose
foundation was established decades
earlier by pioneers in the field, Drs. Sautter,
Lawton, Myers and Ray.
Dr. Maki specializes in the care of adult cardiac and thoracic surgery patients and is proud to be part of the transcatheter valve team established in 2012, the first program of its type in Central Wisconsin.
“Our department is fortunate to have excellent support from our office staff and our highly-skilled physician assistants, as well as our hospital OR, ICU and Heart Floor Nursing staff.”
Dr. Maki enjoys spending time away from her practice celebrating faith and family, and cherishing our country and the freedoms we all hold dear.
