The attraction of a smaller, family-friendly community and working for a nonprofit health organization is what brought Dr. Tyler to Marshfield Clinic in 1998. After eight years at Minocqua Center, he moved to Marshfield Center, where he continues to help women with all their OB/GYN needs, from delivering babies to using robotic surgery to performing minimally invasive procedures.

"More than 90 percent of my patients go home within 23 hours after surgery," said Dr. Tyler, who launched the Clinic's surgical robotics program at Marshfield in 2006. A shorter hospital stay, along with smaller incisions, mean better health outcomes for his patients.

His strong belief in preventive care and listening to each patient's needs has brought him a loyal following of patients. Dr. Tyler is aware that as women age, their health care needs change. He has a strong interest in female issues from across the spectrum of their lives, and offers expertise that comes from more than 20 years as an OB/GYN physician.

Dr. Tyler and his wife, Marshfield Clinic Pediatrician Thu-Thao Trinh, M.D., are happy with the good school systems and outdoor recreational opportunities in central Wisconsin.

Dr. Tyler received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his residency at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., and is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
