Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy (BPH)
Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy is a condition in which the prostate gland becomes very enlarged. As the prostate grows, it can squeeze the urethra making it harder to urinate.
This can block urine flow and cause urinary problems. If the enlarged gland begins to press upon the urethra and interfere with urination, then treatment may be needed.
Marshfield Clinic urologists can treat patients who suffer from BPH with minimally invasive techniques such as microwave therapy and laser therapy.
