Family Medicine

The Department of Family Medicine is concerned with the total health care of the entire family. Family Medicine serves as a personal medical home for each patient ensuring access to comprehensive, integrated care through an ongoing relationship with a Family Medicine physician and associated team. Our Family Medicine physicians and staff provide care for acute and chronic medical conditions and emphasize preventive medicine. If a Family Medicine physician cannot personally provide a specific service, he or she will refer patients to the appropriate source of care. We are able to coordinate care within 80 specialties in more than 40 locations as well as provide laboratory testing and imaging services in these locations. Our electronic medical record system speeds the process of consultation and provides the highest quality of care available.

Internal Medicine

General Internal Medicine provides preventative and primary care services and is the point of first contact to patients referred to Marshfield Clinic. Internal Medicine physicians are specially trained to diagnose and treat medical problems in adults. They treat people’s acute and chronic illnesses in the hospital and in outpatient care settings. They treat such conditions as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, depression, high blood pressure, stroke, arthritis and other common and uncommon medical problems. They also perform complete physical exams, gynecologic exams and routine follow-ups. General Internal Medicine physicians and staff have a wide array of sub-specialty training and experience in a multitude of areas, including but not limited to: ethics, geriatrics, hospitalist services, medical education, metabolic support, perioperative management, terminal care, women’s health.

Pediatrics

When your child is ill you'll do anything to help them get better. At Marshfield Clinic Children's we have the same goal in mind. From birth to young adulthood we specialize in keeping your children well. Med/Peds

Internal Medicine-Pediatrics trained physicians and embody the skills, wisdom, and dedication of pediatricians and internists in a single physician. Med-Peds physicians and staff bring a unique insight and scope to the care of patients throughout their life span. Caring for multiple generations of the same family lends them intrinsic comprehension of family dynamics, epidemiology and the impact of acute or chronic illness at all ages, all in the context of family systems. Coupled with this special continuity are the tremendous rewards of durable relationships as the health mentor for families over several decades.
