Multiple Sclerosis Research
Although there is currently no cure for Multiple sclerosis, the hopes of finding one are becoming more of a reality through research.
Specialist within the Multiple Sclerosis Center are active in scientific research exploring the cause and cure of Multiple sclerosis. The Center belongs to the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers, a network of Multiple Sclerosis research institutions, and this works with other research centers across the country. In addition, the Center participates in drug studies that allow patients to benefit from investigational treatments and therapies prior to FDA approval.
The physicians and staff at Marshfield Clinic Neurosciences and the Multiple Sclerosis Center collaborate with members of the Wisconsin Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society regarding potential new treatments, special medical conditions and general MS concerns. With physicians authoring numerous Multiple sclerosis articles in medical journals and textbooks, the Center is recognized nationwide for its expertise in Multiple sclerosis.
