Marshfield Clinic Marshfield Center is sponsoring bariatric support groups to provide emotional support and education for patients and families of those who have undergone bariatric surgery, or those who may be considering bariatric surgery.

The November Evening Group will feature a presentation by Gail Engebretson, a five-year post gastric bypass surgery patient and author of “Fat No More: Long-term Success Following Weight-Loss Surgery.” The November Evening Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, at Marshfield Clinic in the Lawton Center conference rooms A and B. The evening meeting will also be available via teleconference at Marshfield Clinic Weston Center (enter through door No. 6 for the meeting) and Marshfield Clinic Wisconsin Rapids Center (meet at the front entrance).

The November Morning Group will feature Telling Your Story-Group Sharing. The November Morning Group will meet at 10 a.m. Monday, November 16, in the Clinic’s Lower Level-207 conference room. The morning meeting will also be available via teleconference at Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center.

Anyone who has had weight loss surgery or who is interested in learning more about the surgery is invited to join the group.
