MARSHFIELD CLINIC MARSHFIELD CENTER WELCOMES EMERGENCY MEDICINE PHYSICIAN
Jonathan Schiller, M.D., has joined Marshfield Clinic’s Emergency Medicine department, seeing patients in Saint Joseph’s Hospital’s Emergency Department.
Schiller is a native of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, who attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. After earning his medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, he completed an emergency medicine residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, New York. While there, he worked as an emergency department physician at two hospitals.
“Patients come here sicker than they did at those hospitals, probably because of the availability of urgent care centers,” Schiller said. “On the other hand, we saw more violent injuries there, by far.”
As an emergency physician, Schiller reminds himself of the importance of listening to the patient and giving his undivided attention.
The Marshfield Clinic system provides patient care, research and education with 45 locations in northern, central and western Wisconsin, making it one of the largest comprehensive medical systems in the United States.
