MARSHFIELD CLINIC TO BREAK GROUND FOR HAYWARD CENTER
Marshfield Clinic will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Hayward Center at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 15.
The ceremony for the 5,000-square-foot Marshfield Clinic Hayward Center will take place at the future clinic site, 10212 North Greenwood Lane, Hayward. Food, refreshments and door prize drawings will follow a short program. The public is invited to attend.
The new clinic will expand access to health care in a rural part of the state and give patients a choice, according to Tom Schwab, the Marshfield Clinic administrator overseeing the Hayward Center project.
“We are excited to build on the success of our primary care clinics in northwest Wisconsin,” Schwab said. “Hayward is a vibrant community, and we look forward to being a positive partner in Sawyer County for many years.”
Marshfield Clinic Hayward Center is scheduled to open next summer. Services offered will include family medicine, X-ray and lab. Specialty outreach services will also be provided as needs are identified.
In the past two years, Marshfield Clinic has opened new primary care clinics in Cumberland, Lake Hallie, Elk Mound and Bloomer. In addition to Hayward, Marshfield Clinic will open a new facility in Arcadia in 2010.
The Marshfield Clinic system provides patient care, research and education with 45 locations in northern, central and western Wisconsin, making it one of the largest comprehensive medical systems in the United States.
