Marshfield Clinic Marshfield Center is sponsoring bariatric support groups to provide emotional support and education for patients and families of those who have undergone bariatric surgery, or those who may be considering bariatric surgery.

The October meetings will feature a presentation by a representative of Adventure 212° Health Club, Stevens Point. Adventure 212° Health Club offers a Bariatric Wellness Program to teach, train and educate patients about incorporating exercise into their lives.

The October Evening Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, at Marshfield Clinic in the Lawton Center conference rooms A and B. The evening meeting will also be available via teleconference at Marshfield Clinic Weston Center (enter through door No. 6 for the meeting) and Marshfield Clinic Wisconsin Rapids Center.

The October Morning Group will meet at 10 a.m. Monday, October 19, in the Clinic’s Lower Level-207 conference room. The morning meeting will also be available via teleconference at Marshfield Clinic Minocqua Center.

Anyone who has had weight loss surgery or who is interested in learning more about the surgery is invited to join the group.
