HOSPITALIST JOINS MARSHFIELD CLINIC MARSHFIELD CENTER STAFF
Sumedha Pathak, M.D., is staying in familiar territory as the newest member of the hospitalist staff of Marshfield Clinic Marshfield Center, caring for patients at Saint Joseph’s Hospital.
Pathak recently completed her residency in internal medicine at Marshfield Clinic/Saint Joseph’s Hospital. In addition, her husband, Ram Pathak, M.D., is an endocrinologist who joined the Clinic staff in 2006.
Dr. Sumedha Pathak is interested in all areas of internal medicine but finds hospitalist care particularly challenging. “The patients often have more than one condition, and I try to give some input on ways to prevent these conditions from recurring,” she said.
The Marshfield Clinic system provides patient care, research and education with 45 locations in northern, central and western Wisconsin, making it one of the largest comprehensive medical systems in the United States.
