Do you have questions about the financial aspects of your health care?

Marshfield Clinic's Patient Assistance Center offers a variety of services to help you make informed decisions regarding your health care.

Through the Patient Assistance Center, individuals and families who are uninsured or underinsured can meet confidentially with our staff to discuss financial assistance to cover health care services.

Our staff will identify programs, make referrals to special agencies, provide estimates of cost, obtain prior authorizations for specified services, provide information on Medicare and Medical Assistance and answer questions.

Meet our Staff

  • Fee Estimators prepare estimates for costs of medical care, surgical procedures, lab tests, physicals, etc.
  • Patient Assistance Counselors refer patients to available programs that assist in paying for medical services, medication or other social needs.
  • BadgerCare Counselors assist families with children, pregnant women and elderly blind and disabled patients with completion of Medical Assistance applications that will assist them with paying for their health care needs.
  • Financial Counselors assist patients with questions regarding their account and insurance concerns or to establish payment arrangements for those unable to meet the usual Marshfield Clinic payment terms.
  • Managed Care Coordinators verify insurance benefits and complete managed care requirements for procedures and certain diagnostic services.
