Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery

Marshfield Clinic Heart Care has five cardiothoracic surgeons who perform surgeries to repair the heart or surrounding vessels. Cardiovascular surgeries performed include on-pump and off-pump bypass, valve replacement or repair and pacemaker insertions. Thoracic surgeries, such as lung surgeries (ie. wedge resections, lobectomies and biopsies related to cancer or abnormalities) are also performed. Marshfield Clinic cardiothoracic surgeons also coordinate and perform cardiovascular and thoracic surgery in conjunction with other Clinic specialties, including aortic aneurysm repair, carotid repair, esophagectomies, and congenital anomalies which cause patients difficulties later in life. Cardiothoracic surgeons are available at Eau Claire Center, Marshfield Center, and Weston Center.
