Dermatology

Overview

The sun, wind, temperature and other environmental factors make the skin vulnerable to growths, rashes, discolorations, cysts, burns, injuries, infections, and other disorders.

Millions of people are bothered by common skin conditions such as itching and scaling. Other conditions are more serious and demand immediate attention and treatment.

Marshfield Clinic's Dermatology Department can diagnose and treat common and rare diseases of the skin, hair and nails. Our dermatologists can offer assistance and expertise in medical dermatology, surgical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology and laser surgery.

Marshfield Clinic also offers Mohs surgery, at both the Marshfield Center and the Eau Claire Center, for patients with skin cancer. Mohs surgery allows the surgeon to precisely identify and remove the entire tumor, leaving healthy tissue unharmed.

Commitment to patient care

Marshfield Clinic's Dermatology Department offers residency programs to provide trainees with the education and practical experience that will enable them to deliver superior specialized care to patients with diseases of the skin, hair, nails and mucous membranes.

It is the philosophy of the dermatology department that good dermatologists require strong clinical mentorship, fostered foundations in critical thinking, a happy work environment, and experiences with a broad variety of patient diseases.
