Family Medicine Physician Elena Stringer, M.D., has joined Marshfield Clinic Bloomer Center.

Dr. Stringer has practiced medicine in the Chippewa Valley since 2005. She began her medical career in Chelyabinsk, Russia, and earned her medical degree from the Chelyabinsk State Medical Academy, Department of Internal Medicine. Bellelizabeth Foster, M.D., a psychiatrist specializing in children and adolescents, has joined Marshfield Clinic Marshfield Center.

Pulmonologist Tasbirul Islam, M.D., now sees patients in Marshfield Clinic Marshfield Center’s Pulmonary Medicine Department, as well as at the Weston Center.

Samarjit (Sam) Jaglan, M.D., pediatric orthopaedic surgeon, practices at Marshfield Clinic Marshfield and Weston Centers.

Simon Oh, M.D., has joined the Neurology Department at Marshfield Clinic Marshfield Center.

Dr. Oh completed advanced training in clinical neurophysiology with emphasis on neuromuscular diseases. He expects to see mostly patients with neuromuscular conditions from muscular dystrophies and neuropathies to motor neuron disease such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (A.L.S.). Craig Powell, M.D., has joined the General Surgery Department at Marshfield Clinic Marshfield Center as a vascular surgeon.

He focuses on patients with peripheral vascular disease, or arterial and venous circulatory problems throughout the body. He has completed advanced training in endovascular and vascular surgery and is board certified in surgery and vascular surgeon.

Obstetrician/Gynecologist  Joshua Sampson, D.O., is now seeing patients at Marshfield Clinic Marshfield Center.

Pankaj Singhal, M.D., has joined the Obstetrics/Gynecology Department at Marshfield Clinic Marshfield Center as its second gynecologic oncologist. He joins Dale Larson, M.D.

He completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in tumor immunology and surgical oncology and has advanced training in gynecologic oncology. He is board certified in obstetrics/gynecology.

Dr Singhal has a special interest in treating ovarian cancer, and researching how to prevent it from recurring. His interests also include minimally invasive surgery to treat gynecologic cancers.

Urologist Darius Unwala, M.D., has joined the Urology Department at Marshfield Clinic Marshfield Center.

Board-certified Dermatologist  Rashmi Unwala, M.D., has joined the staff at Marshfield Clinic Marshfield Center. She has been involved in several dermatologic pharmaceutical trials in her previous practice.

She was drawn to Marshfield Clinic by her colleagues and the research opportunities available. She brings a special expertise in ethnic skin to the Marshfield Clinic and also has an interest in pediatric dermatology, cosmetics, and alopecia (baldness or deficiency of hair).

Dermatologist  Carol Prince, M.D., M.P.H., has joined the staff at Marshfield Clinic Wausau Center. Her practice centers on the examination, diagnosis and treatment of problems of the skin, hair and nails. Sushma Thappeta, M.D., has joined the Pediatrics Department at Marshfield Clinic at Wausau and Weston Centers. She said she enjoys being a pediatrician “because I just love seeing kids.”

Her practice includes well-child visits and treating children for common childhood illnesses, as well as providing inhospital care. Her special interests include primary care, infectious diseases, asthma and chronic illnesses. She puts a strong emphasis on rapport between the pediatrician and the child, and between the pediatrician and the parents.
