​​​​​​The mission of the George E. Magnin Medical Library is to promote the strategic plan of Marshfield Clinic Health System by providing evidence-based reference materials and services to medical staff, employees and visiting students in order to advance excellence in patient care, education, research and administration. Library services and collections focus on providing information where and when it is needed.

The George E. Magnin Medical Library is located in the Laird Center for Medical Research at Marshfield Medical Center (Marshfield campus).  Woman looking at computer The physical library space includes an essential print collection, large and small meeting or study spaces, computers and printing services. The library, founded in 1916, is dedicated to the late George E. Magnin, M.D., a distinguished physician and medical educator at Marshfield Clinic. The library provides state of the art access to numerous electronic books, journals and medical databases, which can be accessed from all Marshfield Clinic Health System centers.
