Rally for a Cure

To date, over $150,000 has been raised at the annual Rally for a Cure event at the Eagle River Golf Course. This year’s even will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2010. Proceeds from this event benefit breast cancer research at Marshfield Clinic. In addition, proceeds will also provide support of Cancer Care-Patient Needs at Marshfield Clinic’s James Beck Cancer Center. This program provides survivorship programs, comfort items, education, and support groups to cancer patients.

There is a need now, more than ever, to continue breast cancer research at Marshfield Clinic. In 2009, there was an estimated 192,370 new cases of invasive breast cancer and 62, 280 cases of non-invasive breast cancer world-wide. Of those an estimated 40,170 died. This annual golf event was started and continues in the spirit of eradicating breast cancer. Join us in the fight!
