Nearly 300 shooters, spectators and volunteers and 10 of Rich Seubert's New York teammates participated in the third annual Rich Seubert's Celebrity Trap Shoot on Saturday, April 17, in Eau Claire.

The event, held at Eau Claire Rod & Gun Club, featured trap shoot competition, live and silent auctions and a chance to meet NFL football greats.

A Rozellville native, Seubert was joined by teammates Chase Blackburn, Kevin Boothe, Kevin Boss, Ahmad Bradshaw, Brandon Jacobs, Adam Koets, Kareem McKenzie, Jim Sorgi, Dave Tollefson and Guy Whimper.

Proceeds from the annual event benefit heart research at Marshfield Clinic. Seubert created the Celine Seubert Endowment for Cardiology Research to honor his grandmother. She was given a second chance at life 23 years ago because of a heart transplant and advances in heart research.

Seubert has committed to raising $1 million for the endowment, which is nearing its goal, with more than $800,000 raised through the trap shoot events and private donations.
