Educational Mission and Vision
The Division of Education serves as an integrated resource to define, develop, and deliver education leading to best practice. The Division of Education will be the preferred resource for physician, employee, patient, and customer education that best satisfies the needs of Marshfield Clinic and those we serve.
Marshfield Clinic has been offering continuing education programming for more than 25 years for physicians and other healthcare professionals. Annually the Continuing Medical Education section offers over 70 continuing medical education activties for various providers and allied healthcare professionals.
Marshfield Clinic is an approved training center for the American Heart Association. The Training Center, housed in
Corporate Education, offers Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) courses. Other advanced provider level courses offered are Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS).
Marshfield Clinic’s Nutrition Services welcomes anyone seeking nutrition counseling for health promotion or disease management. Whether you are referred by a physician or want to arrange your own appointment, our staff is available to you. Check with your insurance or benefit provider for coverage information.
George E. Magnin Medical Library is a 5,200 square foot facility located in the Melvin R. Laird Center. Originally founded in 1916 as a department of Marshfield Clinic, the library has grown to incorporate computer labs, over 20,000 bound volumes and 2,000 textbooks. The Medical Library also subscribes to approximately 460 periodicals covering clinical medicine, general science, and computer science.
Media Services provides a variety of support services for Marshfield Clinic. Most visibly, the department has implemented and maintains Marshfield Clinic’s systemwide videoconferencing capabilities, including behind-the-scenes speaker support. Media Services staff members also develop, write and produce videos and multimedia computer-based training software in addition to creating multimedia presentations for patients.
